Since our founding in 2001, SWL has been at the forefront of developing customer-specific Street Team services. With over 20 years in the security industry, we have deployed our services in a wide variety of environments, covering a multitude of applications. Our experience with Street Teams dates back to our formative years, where we pioneered pilot schemes along the south coast. 

Street Teams, often referred to as Town Rangers or Ambassadors, are dedicated to preventing crime, preserving the public realm, and promoting community interests. These teams are not only essential for ensuring the safety and hospitality of the BIDs they serve but also act as tangible assets for levy payers. A Street Team is a walking and talking return on investment, enhancing and protecting the areas they represent. Our teams become the proactive and visible bridge between businesses, the glue that binds the community together, and advocates for the BID. Their ability to reduce crime and improve area perception underscores the importance of employing the right Street Team. SWL Street Team employees are specially trained in delivering ambassadorial and security services by our in-house training department. This week-long, job-specific training program is tailored to our specifications, exceeding industry standards. Our specialized training program, unavailable to external companies, ensures that our quality of service is unmatched in the industry. 

In 2023, alongside our client Camden Town Unlimited BID, we were honoured with the national award for ‘Best Security, Safety, and Resilience Scheme’ in the UK from the Association of Town & City Management.
