As a Business Support Officer, you will be part of a small team, tackling a diverse and exciting range of project deliverables, from security to events to waste management. No two days are the same. Our priority is to support businesses and maintain a healthy, safe, and attractive town centre. Previous Business Improvement District experience would be valuable as we are about to enter a ballot year, but more important is energy, enthusiasm, and determination to do a good job
Make It Ealing is a Business Improvement District (BID) with 450 businesses in the BID area. The organisation was first established in 2005 and was successful in three renewal ballots in 2011, 2016 & 2021.
To support and promote local businesses to local people and create awareness of our diverse day and night-time economy.
The Business Support Officer's role is to liaise and build relationships with businesses in the Business Improvement District (BID) area.
The business support officer will work alongside the CEO to support BID businesses, engage the consumer, increase footfall, and initiate fun and digital chatter to encourage loyalty for our diverse and ever-changing High Street.
Delivering projects from the business plan objectives within budget allocations and within the allocated time. Daily monitoring of new businesses and activity on the street daily.
Make It Ealing employees are expected to be committed to the purpose of a Business Improvement District by offering help, support, and possible solutions to all areas of the business community
The job requires full time presence in the office. There is no home working.
The contract end date is 31st March 2026 with a possibility to extend if we have a successful re-ballot.
40 hours per week inclusive of a daily 30-minute lunch break.
Salaries are paid to a Bank or Building Society account on the 26th of each month.
There is an entitlement of 25 days annual holiday in addition to the statutory bank holidays. .
You will automatically be enrolled in The Make it Ealing Pension scheme.
Employment will be initially a six-month probationary period. Should either party wish to terminate the employment during this period, then one week's notice will be required on either side, except for summary termination for gross misconduct.
Notice is one month by either party after satisfactory completion of probationary period.
