What you can discover on the new Bb website

Written by Emily Richards, Marketing Manager

If you haven’t yet taken a look at our new website, we do hope you take the opportunity to explore this, particularly if you are member.

Our membership organisation is continuing to grow and we remain the leading membership organisation for BIDs. With this in mind, the Bb team spent the past 3 months researching how our members and the wider industry are interacting with our website and our brand in general. And we all agreed that for the benefit of our audiences, our website needed a change. Out with the old and in with the new as they say…

Here is the low-down on some of the things you can make the most of today via the new website:

  • How we communicate to you

Data laws are changing and so it is of paramount importance that website users are in full control of the information they receive from us. We have therefore made a new ‘sign up’ feature on our website where you can decide on the particular subject matters which most interest you and let us know through the website.

  • Staying up to speed with publications

One of my favourite sections of the new site is the ‘Publications’ section. On a daily basis, we are asked advice on a range of matters and often direct people who call or email us to useful documents online. Our publications page includes more of these and, if you are a member, you benefit further from unlocking hidden content once you are logged into the website. Members can access the latest policy and guidance notes created by British BIDs. These are written by us, and written as a response to our most asked queries and issues of current relevance.

Our old website found that members wanted statistical information on BIDs and wanted to be able to find this better. We have therefore made a conscious effort to enhance how we showcase information we have on BIDs. For members, you can view ballot results, levy information and business plans and much more for each BID we are aware about through the BID index.

  • Training opportunities

We run a wide number of courses and events throughout the year so we’ve integrated these into the build of the new site to keep you the loop with what’s coming up next so you don’t miss out on booking your place. They are easy to book onto via our online booking system and presented to you in a much easier-to-read format. For our members, they receive a 25% discount on courses.
