We are seeking your help with a survey that government has asked to be returned by Wednesday April 22. British BIDs is working alongside other membership organisations to provide feedback to government.
MHCLG are in need of specific data relating to occupiers and landlords, in order to make important decisions about programmes of support. We are working with the High Streets Task Force, through its Professional, Research and Data Group, to understand the vulnerability of particular places to COVID-19.
For both these reasons we are asking you to circulate a short survey to the businesses in your BID area (or wider, if your contact list extends outside of this boundary). We are interested in the views of the businesses in your BID, so please send to store managers, rather than head offices, where you have multiples.
We appreciate that businesses will be asked to participate in many surveys. The findings of this survey will be going direct to Government, as they have written most of the questions.
If you are unable to send the survey on, then perhaps you would at least complete it on behalf of your BID.
We have written an email that you may wish to use/adapt for your businesses. This also contains the survey link below.
Email for BIDs to adapt to send to businesses
Dear Business Owner/Manager
We are writing to ask if you would participate in a survey, conducted by researchers at the Institute of Place Management, relating to the impact of current events on your business.
The purpose of this survey is to understand more about the impact on business of COVID-19, in particular locations. The survey has been created by Manchester Metropolitan University, on behalf of the Government's High Street Task Force and the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government. The findings of the survey will be shared with Government to help them plan their support packages, so your participation is really important in helping to inform this activity. You can find out more about the survey here.
You can access the survey here (links to survey and consent form). It will take less than 15 minutes to complete.
We would like to thank you in advance for your participation. Responses are needed by Wednesday 22nd April.
Thanks in advance
