Job Title: Campaigns and Sponsorships Executive

Reporting to: Marketing and Communications Manager

Salary and benefits: £26k-£30k per annum based on experience. Westfield healthcare, paid voluntary charity days, extra holidays relevant to length of service, your birthday off. Employee health and wellness activities. Cycle to work scheme. Flexible working hours, phone and laptop.

Working hours: 40 hours per week. This role is based in Nottingham city centre on a full-time basis, with flexibility on working hours over 7 days to meet the needs of the city.

Working with our members, and often with our partners Nottingham City Council and Visit Nottinghamshire, we’ve the exciting job of promoting Nottingham city centre as a destination for locals and visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Our mission: to create a thriving, safe, clean and vibrant city centre where people can have an amazing time shopping, eating and drinking, visiting attractions, working and studying – a city centre which they feel inspired to come back to, again and again.

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced marketing specialist with a track record of planning and delivering inspirational and engaging targeted marketing campaigns, on time, on budget, and with creative flair. You’ll have the experience to use our digital and social media platforms to drive campaign engagement, and be able to identify and maximise promotional opportunities in print, animation, videography and media. You’ll be confident using Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn and be able to write excellent copy on a wide range of subjects, for a variety of consumer and stakeholder audiences.

We’re a small, tight-knit team where everyone has a role to play in our success, so strong team working, collaboration and interpersonal skills are a must – as is the ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done, whilst acting with professionalism and integrity at all times.

You don’t have to have experience of putting monsters on rooftops, but the willingness to try new things and to innovate is essential. Building and delivering campaigns to market our great city will be your passion – from big events and activities, working with our trusted partners and businesses of all shapes and sizes across the city centre – to the less glamorous, but equally important promotion of Nottingham as a safe, green, clean and healthy place to live, study, work and play.


Key responsibilities:

  • Plan marketing campaigns with due regard to audience(s), budget, impact(s) and KPIs.
  • Develop campaign tactics and marketing mix, within budget, to maximise engagement, impact and ROI.
  • Write effective marketing campaign plans considering timing, audience(s), KPIs and campaign goals.
  • Write top-level campaign narratives, messages, social media captions, devise effective call(s) to action and contribute to press releases and news articles.
  • Commission and oversee external agents to develop campaign artwork and content with due regard to brand alignment and integrity. inc. photography, animation, video, print and social media assets.
  • Schedule campaign content and monitor It’s in Nottingham social media platforms in-campaign, engaging with users and sharing user generated content.
  • Evaluate all campaign marketing performance against KPIs and goals and report to the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Oversee and develop a database of live marketing opportunities and partnerships.
  • Oversee third party marketing activities and deliverables as set out in our sponsorship agreements, with due regard to brand placement and integrity.
