British BIDs (Bb) is a highly respected and long established organisation focused entirely on Business Improvement Districts. Through the delivery of advice, training, products and services, it delivers quality, innovation and knowledge to the rapidly growing UK BIDs industry.
Membership provides benefits for everybody involved in BIDs. From Chief Executives and Managers to Directors, Board members, Local Authorities and other stakeholders.

Information, support and advice – Bb assists dozens of established and developing BIDs via our dedicated hotline and email service on a weekly basis with technical advice, support and queries. The Bb team provides knowledge on scenarios including BID development, governance, finances, levy rules and renewals. We engage with around 100 queries a month.
Research – Priority access to research conducted by British BIDs including the Nationwide BID Survey and the Industry Criteria and Guidance, produced in partnership with major levy paying organisations.
BID Industry Insight – Our regular and extensive Ballot Watch service provides crucial information on the BID industry. Other Insights focus on policy matters, blogs, case studies and more.
Head Office voter contact list – Regularly updated to ensure BIDs are able to communicate with the correct contacts. To obtain this, please email us.
The BID Academy – A wide variety of training courses are available including the Certificate in BID Management (CiBM). British BIDs provided training to over 100 people in 2016. This will be eclipsed in 2017. Members receive 25% discount on all BID Academy courses.
In addition, members will receive 24/7 advice and guidance from the BID team when required.
Accreditation – Satisfy the criteria that is set by key industry partners by undertaking the accreditation and achieving the kite mark. Accreditation independently assesses a BIDs governance, management, finances, performance management, communications and reporting. BIDs can now choose to submit their accreditation audit online. Members receive a 25% discount.
Networking Opportunities – There are opportunities to network with peers at events including the National BID Conference and free Marketing Forums.
Business Plan Review Service – We are now able to offer a more sophisticated response whereby we can comment on a draft business plan to ensure it meets the Industry Criteria and Guidelines, and signal if elements have been omitted from the document. We can return this in note form as an email, and we will require two weeks to review each plan.
