“I’ve recently completed my CiBM and thoroughly enjoyed the process from start to finish. The lessons were useful and I learnt skills that I can apply to my existing role at Winchester BID. I enjoyed the research piece and completed the course having written a dissertation that can be used to benefit the work of the BID moving forwards.”

Amy Sheppard, Winchester BID

“I have really enjoyed the certificate in BID management and found all elements of the training sessions to be informative and engaging. Would highly recommend to anyone from the industry looking to develop their knowledge and skills.”

Will Dyson, WeAreWaterloo BID

“The Certificate in BID Management Course was superb learning experience and brought together so many elements to provide a rich and varied overview of BIDs. It has reinforced certain aspects of my work and helped me grow and develop other areas that I felt I needed support and guidance on. It was also very enjoyable to be with such an interesting group of colleagues and mentors, I would recommend it highly.”

Matthew John, Hammersmith London

“The CIBM was a fantastic experience and one which I would thoroughly recommend to both aspiring and experienced BID personnel. It provided an excellent opportunity to network with peers and a comprehensive look at all aspects of working in the BID industry. The speakers were engaging and knowledgeable and offered unrivalled insights into their respective topics.”

Chris Travers, Orpington 1st

The Certificate in BID Management

What is the course?

  • A short course aimed at both BID and non-BID personnel.
  • A part-time course through a combination of distance learning and on-site training days.
  • A qualification which covers all aspects of working within a BID environment:
    • Principles of BIDs
    • BID regulations and policy
    • Governance and levy rules
    • Operational management of BIDs

Why should I do the course?

As the BID industry grows and matures, quality is increasingly paramount to voters. This qualification reassures voters that staff are in place with the appropriate skillset and can be considered industry leaders. The course provides an opportunity to network with peers in the industry and cover all facets of the BID environment. The Certificate in BID Management is the industry’s only formal qualification and since its launch in 2013 has fast established a record of assisting in graduate’s career development.
