Professor Christopher Turner Chief Executive

Christopher’s involvement with BIDs began in Winchester BID where he remains as Business Development Director. He is also Professor and International Ambassador at Winchester University. His academic experience and commitment to thought-leadership brings a unique and exciting approach to BID issues, challenges and successes as the industry continues to mature and develop. As Chief Executive of British BIDs, Chris provides leadership and direction for the BID industry and coordinates the National BIDs Advisory Board. Chris also authors the Nationwide BID Survey and leads on the Certificate In BID Management course offered by the Bb BID Academy.    

Paul Clement Director

Paul has over a decade of experience in place management having started his first town centre management company in April 2000. Since then he has developed and renewed BIDs across the country and provided training and coaching to numerous places. This is alongside his role as Chief Executive of Ipswich Central. He has a Master's Degree from De Montfort University into global influences within urban centres. This, together with his practical experience, led to the creation of CMS.  He is a Board Director of University Campus Suffolk and a Governor at St Joseph's College, Ipswich.

Fiona Wright Director

Fiona focuses strongly on ensuring the organisation works with its excellent, knowledgeable team to ensure British BIDs delivers against its vision to deliver quality, innovation and knowledge to the BID industry. She brings with her over 15 years of agency experience in the place/property marketing arena. This experience includes being a key part of the team that helped Ipswich Central achieve the highest aggregate first renewal result in the UK.

Maria Chapman-Beer Policy Manager

Maria began working with BIDs in 2004 and has worked with and led BIDs through their first ballot and through renewal. Having started working within BIDs when they were just evolving, Maria has learned the industry from ground level upwards and is therefore aware of the challenges at all levels. Her extensive knowledge of governance and policy is a great asset to the organisation and she provides regular support and guidance to British BIDs members on these key issues.

Ben Collins Membership Services Manager

Ben has over a decade's worth of experience in the BID industry and also manages the Ilford BID. He works closely with the British BIDs' team to maximise the organisation's overall vision to deliver quality, innovation and knowledge to the BID industry by managing the membership services package for new and existing members.

Emily Richards Marketing Manager

Emily oversees the delivery of all marketing and communications for British BIDs, with a particular focus on promoting British BIDs' core services. She works closely alongside the membership services team to promote and communicate British BIDs' membership services and to ensure that high standards are maintained with our current members.

Shahed Quddus Membership Services Coordinator

Shahed assists with marketing and communications for British BIDs, working closely with the marketing team on brand awareness, marketing tactics and key messaging. He focuses heavily on the organisation's membership package as part of the organisation's overall vision to deliver quality, innovation and knowledge to the BID industry.
